Government of Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Bureau of Special Projects

Historical Overview
The Mid Year Budget Review in June 2012 revealed that many projects arising from well thought out public driven concepts have difficulties in execution largely because of inherent bottlenecks and red tapism in the system. There was therefore an urgent need for an agency or department which could scale the structural weights that made the actualization of government dreams cumbersome and ultimately unachievable. This informed the decision of Mr. Governor for the creation of Bureau of Special Projects(BSP) situated in the Office of the Governor.
The Bureau was created through Executive order by the State Government in August of the year 2020.

  • A transformation of the Public Buildings Department of the Ministry of Works & Transportation to Bureau of Special Projects.
