Ekiti Commences Inspection of Community Self Help Projects

Officials of the Ekiti State Government have commenced an inspection tour of the first phase of the Government assisted self-help projects across the 16 Local Government Areas in the State.
Speaking while monitoring projects in Ekiti North Federal Constituency ll,  the State Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Empowerment, Chief Folorunso Olabode explained that the exercise was to fast track completion of the projects as well as ensure that they are executed according to specification.
Chief Olabode who expressed hope that the projects would be ready for Commissioning by November, charged the benefiting Community Development Associations that are yet to fulfill their parts of the agreement to do so within the agreed time since government has discharged its own responsibilities in the quest to achieve a timely completion of quality jobs.
He attributed the huge success recorded in the scheme to the proper monitoring and supervision of the progress of work on the projects. Commending traditional rulers of the benefiting Communities for their efforts towards ensuring the success of the projects, the Commissioner solicited for the continued support of the people in the State.
He reassured communities that were yet to benefit from the Scheme that the dividends of good governance would reach all neighborhoods in the State during the regime of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
