Monthly Environmental Sanitation to Hold on Saturday, November 30

The November edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 7am to 9am.
According to a statement from the Office of the Commissioner for Environment, there will be the usual restriction of movement during the exercise; stressing that only those duly identified to be on essential duties will be exempted from the restriction.
The statement disclosed that the theme of the exercise is “Open Defecation is an invitation to Epidemics; One House, One Toilet, is the Answer”.
It stressed that top government functionaries, Local government chairmen and security agencies will be on hand to monitor the exercise and enforce compliance.
Noting that the sanitation exercise in government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) will hold on Thursday, November 28 that of market places will take place on Friday, November 29, 2013.
The statement urged all stakeholders to ensure compliance.
