Fayemi Restates Commitment To Security

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has restated his commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizenry.
The Governor reiterated this commitment while receiving the new Brigade Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, Brigadier-General Abba Mohammed Dikko who was in Ado Ekiti on a visit to the Governor on Thursday.

Dr. Fayemi who stated that the State already enjoys relative peace, assured that the state government would continue to give support to security agencies in the State, especially the Nigerian Army in order to protect the citizenry and their property from harms.
While commending the effort of the men of the Nigerian Army in safeguarding the State border from spill-over of crimes from other neighbouring States, the Governor said the commitment of the Nigerian Army to professionalism and peace is unparallel.
Earlier, the new Commander, Brigadier-General Dikko had said that the visit was aimed at formally introducing the new leadership of the Artillery Brigade to the Governor.

Dikko assured that the Army would support the state government by creating an enabling environment for the maintenance of peace and tranquillity in the State.
