The Ekiti State chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has lauded the administration of Dr. Kayode Fayemi for the unprecedented development and improvement brought to bear on the people of the Land in the last two and half years that it had governed the state.

While asking that the deputy governor uses her good offices to intervene in the imbroglio between teachers and the state government towards earlier resolution of the disagreement that has led to the ongoing industrial action, Aluko pledged the continuous support for the administration.

Responding, the deputy governor thanked labour for supporting the good works of government said the Dr. Fayemi led administration has put Ekiti on the world map through proper conceptualization and implementation of its 8-point agenda.

Explaining that the government is passionate about the welfare of everybody, she regretted that pupils are be kept at home due to circumstances beyond government’s control and assured that the ongoing strike is being tackled through dialogue in the appropriate quarters.
Adelabu who praised the organized labour in the state for not allowing themselves to be used to detract the good works of government, urged the leadership of the NLC to always approach government with good counsels on how to move the state forward.
