Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has commiserated with former Governor Ayo Fayose over the death of his sister, Mrs. Christy Bimpe Fayose-Sorinolu, who died in a London hospital on Wednesday, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Fayemi in a letter to Fayose, described Mrs. Sorinolu’s death as highly devastating and very unfortunate. The Governor however, urged Mr. Fayose and the entire family to be consoled by the good works done by the deceased during her lifetime.
He noted that Mrs. Sorinolu who was a philanthropist touched the lives of the less-privileged through her non-governmental organization and helped rehabilitate those suffering from mental problems.
The Governor pointed out that the good deeds of Mrs Sorinolu will continue to linger in the memory of those who benefited from her kind gesture.
Describing the death of loved one as a bitter pill to swallow, Fayemi prayed God to grant the immediate family and all well wishers of the deceased the fortitude to bear the great loss.
He charged Mr. Fayose to take heart and seek solace in the Almighty who has the power to alleviate the grief of the bereaved.
