EKSG Disburses N21M Grant To 450 Students

Ekiti State Government has disbursed a sum of N21, 980,000.00 to 450 students of Ekiti origin as part of the second batch of the 2010/2011 scholarship to students of tertiary institutions across the country.

A statement from Ekiti State Scholarship Board stated that the gesture was in line with the 8 point agenda of the present administration to give scholarship to indigent but promising students of Ekiti State origin in tertiary institutions.

According to the statement, the University undergraduates and HND students would be given N60, 000 each while NCE students would receive N40, 000.
The statement noted that benefitting students are drawn from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Osun State University, Osogbo, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State College of Education, Ilesa College of Education, Ilemona, Federal College of Education Okene and Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.

It stated further that students that are still in school should visit the office of Bursar or Registrar of their various schools to receive
their cheques while those that have left school should report at the Ekiti State Scholarship board.
It advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the funds.
