The Chairman of the Ekiti Local Government Service Commission, Chief Ranti Adebisi has assured Local Government workers in the state that all outstanding staff promotion will soon be cleared.
Speaking during a familiarisation tour of the 16 Local Government Councils in the state, Chief Adebisi explained that the essence of the tour was to identify problems in the councils and proffer solutions to them.
While noting that staff promotion was one of the major issues that came up during the tour, the Chairman reiterated the commitment of his commission to resolve all pending issues that may negatively affect the workers’ morale.
According to him, the welfare of workers remained top priority for the commission, assuring that all outstanding issues on advancement, absorption, conversion would be addressed as soon as possible.
Chief Adebisi promised that workers would also be regularly trained and re-trained for optimum performance and professionalism.
He however called on the workers to reciprocate government’s good gesture by being diligent at their individual and collective duty posts.
The Commission Chairman stressed the need for workers to shun lateness, truancy and rumour mongering.
