EKSG Solicits Stakeholders Support

Ekiti State Government has solicited the support of traditional rulers, religious and community leaders as well as all other stakeholders for the success of the 1st round of the National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) scheduled to commence on Friday, February 2, 2013.
A statement from the office of the Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, said that Governor Fayemi would flag-off the immunization exercise.
According to the statement, the first round of the exercise would end on Tuesday February 5 while another round is expected to hold in March.
It stressed that government was counting on the support of all stakeholders in reducing mortality and mobility rate in the state, adding that all communities in the state would be effectively covered by health workers that have been trained to access and immunize
children of 5 years old and below.
The statement reiterated the commitment of the state government to reducing communicable diseases to the barest minimum, stressing that all stakeholders must however contribute their quota towards achieving the desired result.
