Civil Servants have been charged to re-dedicate themselves to their duties in the New Year. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Mrs Adekunbi Obaisi gave the charge during her maiden meeting with management and staff of the ministry.
Describing the state workforce as more or less a family, Mrs. Obaisi counselled the workers to be disciplined, stressing that they should always be punctual at their duty posts and shun rumour mongering.

The Permanent Secretary who said the state government is committed to the welfare of workers, noted that it was expedient for workers to reciprocate the good gesture of government by being committed to their work.

She described the Fayemi led administration as workers friendly, emphasising that civil service as engine room of government must live
up to expectation in order to effect the programmes and plans of the administration.

Responding on behalf of the workers, the Director of Culture, Mr Mich-Yomi Longe pledged their continued cooperation towards the
success of the administration’s transformation agenda.
