Ekiti State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Chief Folorunso Olabode has charged public officials in the state to be more committed and dedicated to their duties in the New Year.
Chief Olabode gave the charge in Ado-Ekiti during a meeting he held with the management and staff of the ministry.
The Commissioner who noted that year 2013 tagged ‘year for empowerment and Consolidation’ could only be realized through hard work, commitment and dedication, stated that the present administration would formulate policies and programmes that will impact positively on the lives of the youths.
Soliciting the cooperation of the workers with the state government so as to make the 8-point Agenda a reality, the Commissioner assured
that sporting activities will receive more attention from government in the New Year.
Earlier, in her remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Desola Oke expressed appreciation to the members of staff of the
ministry for their dedication in the previous year, and charged them to perform better in the New Year by supporting government’s policies and programmes.
