150 Referred Patients To Undergo Eye Surgery

150 patients referred for eye surgery during the 5th edition of the Governor Kayode Fayemi’s Free Health Mission will be attended to at the Ophthalmology Centre, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado Ekiti from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th September, 2012.

A statement from the office of the State Commissioner for Health, Professor Olusola Fasubaa disclosed that the patients referred from Oye, Ekiti West, Efon, Moba and Ijero Local Government Areas would be screened on Monday September 3, 2012 while necessary treatments and surgical operations would be done on the following day.

Patients referred from Ikole, Ido/Osi and Ilejemeje Local Government Areas would be screened on Wednesday September 5 and treated the following day.

It urged the affected patients to take advantage of the opportunity presented by the Free Health Mission to take care or their health challenges free of charge, stressing that the Governor’s good gesture towards maintaining a healthy society could only achieve the desired result if the people live up to their responsibility and make themselves available to complete their treatment
