SSG Assures Security Agencies Of Support

Security Agencies in Ekiti State have been assured of government support to enable them carry out their statutory roles of maintaining law and order.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji (Dr.) Ganiyu Owolabi gave the assurance while paying host to the Assistant Inspector General of Police for zone 8 Mr. Jonathan Johnson in his office in Ado.  Dr. Owolabi assured that the State will not relent efforts aimed at  sustaining the relative peace in the State.

The Secretary to the State Government explained that Governor Kayode Fayemi accords the protection of lifes and properties of residents of the State topmost priority hence its regular assistance and support to the various security agencies in the State. He called on the people in the state to be security conscious  by reporting strange persons and items to security agencies for necessary actions.

The Assistant Inspector of Police (AIG) zone 8, Mr. Jonathan Johnson commended Governor Kayode Fayemi for his regular logistics support for Ekiti Command of the Nigeria Police needed to sustain the peaceful atmosphere in the State. Mr. Johnson who praised the collaboration between Ekiti Command and members of the public who usually supply information to the police pledged that the Police will work more intently to sustain the relative peace in Ekiti.
