July 17, 2012

The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has organised a training workshop for Contractors handling Education Trust Fund (ETF) projects across the State.

Declaring the workshop open, the Executive Chairman of the Board,  Prof. Modupe Adelabu explained that the training was organized to familiarize the contractors with the rudiments and guidelines associated with the execution of the projects with a view to enhancing good performance.

According to her, regular training would prevent them from executing shoddy and substandard jobs. Adelabu who assured that such training would continue to receive greater and special attention from the Board, said the interest of the pupils and students who were the direct beneficiaries of the projects
should be taken into consideration which informs government’s insistence on quality service delivery.

She advised the contractors to make use of the knowledge gained during the training for them to deliver quality jobs saying the Fayemi Administration would continue to patronize competent contractors. The contractors however commended the State Government for organizing the training programme, while expressing their commitment to deliver good and quality jobs that would stand the test of time.
