Fayemi Meets Ewi, Afe

In pursuit of the government’s commitment to peace and development of the state, Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has met with two frontline leaders, who played prominent roles in the creation and development of the state -the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejuyigbe, (CON) and the founder, Afe Bablola University , Aare Afe Babalola (SAN).

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, Governor Fayemi, at the meeting, appealed to the two leaders to join him in working for peace in Ado-Ekiti and the state as a whole.

Although the Governor declined further comments on the meeting which held behind closed doors when accosted by journalists, he however said he was happy that the two leaders pledged they would continue to work together and with the government for the development of Ado-Ekiti and Ekiti State as a whole.

The Governor also restated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the state continues to live up to its rating as one of the most peaceful states in the country, while also actualizing the developmental goals of the government.
