The Contractors handling the transformation project of the Ikogosi Warm Spring have been urged to expedite action on the project to enhance its early completion.
Ekiti State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Debo Ajayi gave the advice during an assessment tour of the tourist Centre.
Mr. Ajayi said the appeal was imperative as the Fayemi Administration was keen about the early completion of the project which according to him would make Ekiti an attractive and competitive tourism destination choice in Africa.
The Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner also revealed that the State Government would encourage Public Private Partnerships in the development of Efon, Okemesi, Ikogosi, Ipole-Iloro tourism corridor with a view to generating revenue form the sub-sector of the state
economy.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism Development, Engr. Olusegun Ologunleko who conducted the Commissioner round explained that the project encompasses a World-Class Swimming Pool, Charlets of 24 standard rooms that are conducive for learning, research and
relaxation for tourists.
They were also at the Villa area of the tourist centre where the Executive Lodge is being constructed. Engr. Ologunleko added that other existing structures are also being renovated.
Earlier, the site Engineer of CASA Consult Ltd-The Contracting firm handling the project, Mr. Ademola Adebisi had assured that the project would be completed on schedule.
