Ekiti Sites Almajiri Model School In Esun-Ekiti

Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has approved that the Almajiri Model School in the State be located at Esun-Ekiti in Ikole Local Government Area of the State.
The Executive Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, Prof. Modupe Adelabu who gave the information while inspecting the proposed site said that  the decision to site the school in the town was hinged on the  policy of the Fayemi  Administration to bring development to every part of the State.

Prof. Adelabu commended the community for donating the land on which the school would be built saying such gesture was proof that the people are ready to contribute to the development of the State.
She said the proposed Almajiri Model School would run a boarding system, with modern classrooms, staff quarters and other facilities for effective teaching and learning.
The Chairman, who was also at the palace of Elesun of Esun Ekiti, Oba Samuel Oyebode Omojola urged the people of the community to cooperate with the contractor that would handle the project to ensure its early completion.
Responding the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, Oba Omojola thanked Governor Fayemi for locating the project in his domain, stressing the importance of the project to the socio-economic development of the community.
He, however, pledged the cooperation of his subjects towards the successful completion and smooth takeoff  of the school.
Prof.Adelabu later inspect ed some on-going projects  of the board at Ikole and Oye Local Governments where she warned contractors to work according to specifications and deliver quality jobs as incompetent contractors would be blacklisted.
