Aftermath Of AFN League: Two Ekiti Athletes Invited To National Camp

Two Ekiti State athletes have been invited to the National Athletic camp following their outstanding performances in the just concluded 4th Athletic Federation of Nigeria, AFN, Golden League competition in Port Harcourt.
The duo of Tosin Adeloye and Yusuf Ismail were among the eight represented the state at the sports meet. The athletes who took part in high jump, 200m male/ female, 400m, 4x100m relay female and 4x400m relay female, won two Bronze medals courtesy of Tosin Adeloye and Yusuf Ismail and
consequently won an invitation to the National camp.
Meanwhile, Dupe Ajimati has emerged the winner of the women power lifting event with a lift of 95kg during the maiden edition of power lifting and Table Tennis special sports competitions organised by the South West zone II at Akure, Ondo state.
Taiwo Olasunkanmi came 3rd in 56kg men class with a lift of 100kg while Aborisade Sogo and Arowolo Ganiyu came 1st and 2nd respectively in their weight categories.
In Football, the state League has commenced at the Oluyemi Kayode stadium Ado where nine clubs will lock horns in hot contest to play the Super League as well as the final on 22nd June, 2012.
The contesting teams include DynamiteFC Ado, Super Stars FC Ado, MOB FC Iyin, Rason Fc, Ikere and VGN Lion FC Ado all in Group A while Group B fixtures are Lustay FC Ado, Endurance FC, Ikole Fountain Youth Sports Club Ado and Crown Poly FC, Ado.
