Ekiti Exco Approves N138 Million For The Construction Of Civic Centre

Ekiti State Executive Council has approved the sum of  N137,611,325.07 for the construction of an Ultra Modern Civic Centre in Ado-Ekiti.
The state Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation , Hon Funminiyi Afuye  who made this known at the end of the  weekly State Executive Council meeting in Ado said the  approved amount covers the cost of  architectural design , quantity surveying, structural and electrical/mechanical engineering  works  of the project.
Afuye explained that when completed, the Ultra Modern Civic Centre would host major events like seminars, conferences, training workshops, town hall meetings among others for both public and private events which will ultimately boost the commercial, tourism and social activities of the state.
He disclosed that the State EXCO also approved the preparation of Ekiti State Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) for 2012-2014 as stipulated under the Ekiti State Fiscal Responsibility Law No 4 of 2011 (sections 12-14).
The Commissioner noted that the MTEF will enable the state prepare a macro-economic framework setting out projections (revenue and expenditure) for the next three (3) years.
