Fadipe Calls For Greater Collaboration Between Government And NGOs

Ekiti State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Chief Dayo Fadipe has called on both Local and International Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to support the 8-point Agenda of the Administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi which is the road map to prosperity, growth and development of the state.

Fadipe made the appeal in Ado Ekiti while playing host to the Executive Director and members of Community Life Project, a Non-
Governmental Organisation.
Chief Fadipe commended the organisation for organising a training Workshop for Community Development Officers in the State which according to him would increase their productivity and make them more effective in the discharge of their duties.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Director of the organisation, Mrs Ngozi Iwere explained that the training Workshop focuses on Enhancing participatory and accountability in Governance for Community Development Practitioners.
Mrs Iwere commended the State Government for involving people at the grassroots in its community development programmes.
She explained that the workshop will enable the participants acquire new skills and knowledge in the sensitisation and mobilization of the people at the grassroots and promote participatory governance.
