Ekiti Promotes Over 1600 Workers

Over 1600 workers have been promoted by the Ekiti State Government in the last one year. The Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Afolabi Ogunlayi made this known at a forum in Ado Ekiti.

Alhaji Ogunlayi who described the Fayemi administration as worker friendly said that the Civil Service Commission under his leadership has cleared arrears of 2009 and 2010 promotion exercise inherited from the immediate past administration in the state.
According to the Civil Service Commission boss, Governor Fayemi has given his consent that workers in the state should be promoted as and when due adding that the era of notional promotions is over however charged workers in the State Civil Service to reciprocate government’s gesture by putting in their best to enhance the overall development of the State that they have sworn to serve.

He also admonished then to get copies of the Financial regulations, Civil Service rules and other relevant documents that will enable them understand the running of the Civil Service at all times.
The Chairman equally advised civil servant to always fill their Annual Performance Evaluation Returns {APER} forms to facilitate their promotion
