Ekiti State Government has reiterated its commitment to invest in human capital development to enhance improved productivity.
The State Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi stated this in Ado Ekiti while declaring open a 2-day seminar on “Managing Public Sector Work
Relations for Socio-Economic Development” organized for public office holders and labour leaders in Ekiti State.
The Governor who was represented at the occasion by his Chief of staff, Mr. Yemi Adaramodu, stressed that his administration realizes
the importance of human intellectual development and its relationship to the 8-point agenda aimed at transforming the lives of the citizens of the state.
Dr. Fayemi opined that only cordial working relationship between employers and employees could sustain lasting industrial harmony which would transform to economic development.
In his welcome address, the Commissioner for Labour, Productivity and Human Capital Development, Mr. Wole Adewumi commended the Governor for giving approval for the workshop within a short period, which showed his good intention and passion for development in the state workforce.
He said that the relative industrial peace in the state was as a result of the harmonious relationship that has been established by the
governor and called on government and labour leaders to sustain it.
In his goodwill message, the Head of Service Mr. Olubunmi Famosaya charged participants to utilize whatever knowledge acquired from the seminar for individual and corporate advancement.
Participants at the seminar include Executive Council Members, Permanent secretaries, some directors and selected labour leaders.
