Ekiti State Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Mr. Sola Adebayo has said that all on-going township road projects in the state capital would be completed on schedule.
Mr. Adebayo who gave the assurance during an inspection tour to some of the roads under construction in Ado-Ekiti, said he embarked on the inspection tour to scrutinize the progress and encourage the contractors handling the projects.
The Commissioner stressed that it was his responsibility to ensure that the contracts were completed on schedule, adding that since rains have stopped and the state government has provided the required logistics, the contractors have no excuse not to deliver on time.
According to him, Ado township roads have been in a state of disrepair for a long time, adding that it was expedient to rehabilitate the roads as part of efforts to transform it to a befitting state capital.
Mr. Adebayo noted that the completion of Ado intra-township roads will reduce traffic congestion currently being experienced in the state capital.
Some motorists who spoke with newsmen lauded the Fayemi led administration for performing well especially on roads construction and rehabilitation. They urged the Governor to continue in his developmental achievements to move the state to greater heights.
