TESCOM Chairman Directs Teachers To Report At Their New Duty Posts

The Chairman Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM,  Prince Bayo Adeniran has directed all teachers affected by the recent posting by the commission to report at their new schools with immediate effect.
Prince Adeniran who gave the directive while monitoring some public secondary schools in Ado, advised the School Principals to accord priority to students’ academic performance, noting that they are future leaders of the country.
Mr Adeniran who frowned on the nonchalant attitude of some teachers who refused to report in their new schools, also commended some principals for their sense of responsibility and loyalty. He charged all teachers to be regular and directed them to take the attendance of students before starting each lesson in order to detect absentees who should be punished for absenteeism.

The Chairman who tasked the teachers to ensure quality teaching and learning to complement the efforts of government at providing  qualitative education, charged them to inculcate the habit of communicating with the children in English language to enable them learn and speak good English.
He also counselled the teachers to encourage group reading among the students which according to him would improve their learning skills and enhance good performance in their examinations.
Mr Adeniran directed that Literature in English should be made compulsory for all students in secondary schools to expose them to reading habit.
He charged the principals to be alive to their responsibilities by engaging in thorough monitoring of both students and teachers, adding that any teacher that perform below expectation will be sanctioned.
