About 110 athletes are expected to represent Ekiti State at the 18th National Sports Festival scheduled to hold between November 27 and December 9, 2012.
The athletes who are already in camp at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado– Ekiti in preparation for the sporting fiesta said they are ready to do the state proud by winning laurels for the state at the 10-day event.
The state athletes are expected to showcase their skills in Athletics, Badminton, Ayo, Boxing, Basketball, Kickboxing and Gymnastics.
Other sports in which the Ekiti athletes will feature include hockey, Judo, Scramble, Special Sports, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Taekwondo and Weightlifting.
It will be recalled that Ekiti State Government had earlier this year organised a state sports Festival in order to boost the performance of the athletes and identify new talents.
