Professor Adelabu who advised members of the team to see their jobs as a form of clinical supervision added that they were selected to assist, guide, identify the immediate needs of the teachers and not to see themselves as rivals to the Education Secretaries and other government institutions in-charge of such duties.

She commended the Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi for his magnanimity and passion for the development of the education sector. In her address at the workshop ,the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr. (Mrs) Eniola Ajayi described members of the team as potential neighborhood inspectors because of their proximity to the people at the grassroots. According to Dr. Ajayi ,“Feedback implementation is very important and more crucial than even supervision it self”. She urged the team to be sensitive to the nature and temperament of the parents, adding that they should be mindful of what they say or tell the parents, urging them not to violate the already laid down government principles.

Responding, the Coordinator of the team, Professor Suzan Ajibade commended the present Administration for appointing women into sensitive positions in the state promising that the team would not betray the confidence reposed in them.
