Olorunleke Commends Staff on Improved IGR

The Commissioner for Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Remi Olorunleke has commended staff of his Ministry and Agencies under it for their positive contribution towards improving the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in the year 2013.
Speaking in Ado Ekiti during his maiden meeting with staff of the MDAs in 2014, Mr. Olorunleke said available records indicate that the ministry and its parastatals recorded a 200% increase in its IGR for 2013 over what was recorded in 2012.
The Commissioner who noted that less than 20 percent of developers in the state obtained approvals for their building plan, said concerted efforts would be required by the ministry to monitor structures under development to ensure quality as well as increase the I.G.R. of the State.
Olorunleke emphasised the importance of quick conceptualization of new projects in the year as this would help government attend to all programmes in the budget within the stipulated time.
In their remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Olufemi Ajayi and his counterpart from the Bureau of Lands, Mrs. Olufunke Falodun expressed appreciation to the commissioner for using his wealth of experience to ginger the staff for the achievements recorded in the last year.
They promised the continued commitment of the staff of the ministry to the development of the state.
Present at the meeting were the Chairman, Board of Housing Corporation, Alhaji Olu Fadairo, Surveyor General, Mr. Osalusi, General Managers among others.
