Fadipe Commends Nigerian Red Cross

Ekiti State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Chief  Dayo Fadipe has commended the Ekiti State Branch of  the  Nigerian Red Cross Society,  for its humanitarian and Voluntary Services.
Chief  Fadipe gave the commendation when officials of society, led by its Chairman, Mr. Felix Adeojo paid an  advocacy visit to him in Ado-Ekiti.

The Commissioner stressed the need for the society to improve on its functions and services for it to be relevant in the modern world. Fadipe promised that his Ministry would co-operate with the society to sustain and propel it to greater heights. He said , the Ministry would nominate a Desk Officer among its management team to serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the Society.

Earlier, the  Chairman of the society , Mr Felix Adeojo had  called on the state government  to assist the society by providing it with office accommodation  and  other facilities. Mr. Adeojo who intimated the Commissioner with the services of the society which includes provision of  First Aid  to accident victims and indisposed people , health campaign and mobilization for environmental sanitation, added that the society would not relent efforts on its services to the State.

He however solicited for the support and collaboration of the government to develop Red Cross Society to an enviable position in the State.
