EKSG Set To Reconstruct Ado-Ikere Road

Relief will soon come the way of people serviced by the Ado-Ikere dual carriage way as the Ekiti State government has concluded plans to reconstruct the pot-hole ridden road.
The State Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Mr. Sola Adebayo dropped the hint during the maiden edition of the ministerial press briefing organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation held at the Conference Hall, Old Governor’s Office
Ado-Ekiti.

Mr. Adebayo who reeled out the major road construction work going on across the State used the forum to amounce that the State Executive Council will soon approve the reconstruction of Ado-Ikere road which has been in bad shape for sometime.

The Works and Transportation Commissioner said that it the determination of the Fayemi Administration to ensure that all parts of Ekiti State are accessible by major roads by 2014.

According to him, the Ministry of Works and Transportation has a budgetary allocation of N12,832,184,246.00 for the year 2012.

He explained that in its bid to ensure delivery of good roads, the State Government has engaged the services of some Consultants to complement the efforts of the Ministry’s Engineers in supervising the road projects.
