EKSG Holds New Year Inter-Religious Thanksgiving Service

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi will on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013  lead other government functionaries to attend the new year inter-religious thanksgiving service organized by the state government.

According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, the inter-religious thanksgiving service is in furtherance of the commitment of the Dr. Fayemi-led administration to strengthen the harmony between Christians and Muslims in the State.

The service which will hold by 9. am at the Government House Grounds, Ado Ekiti, is also aimed at committing the State into God’s hands for more progress and development.

Oyebode  said  Governor  Fayemi believes so much in the efficacy of prayers even as the Governor had at the last Christmas carol service, attributed the achievements of his administration in 2012  to God.
The thanksgiving service is expected to be attended by political office holders, religious leaders and civil servants among others.
