Ekiti To Renovate Dilapidated Courts

Barely 48 hours after the Ekiti State Government flagged off the renovation of All Hospitals in the state, the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has said that his administration has approved the renovation of all Magistrate courts in the State.

The Governor disclosed this while playing host to the leadership of Oye Progressive Union who were in his office on a courtesy visit.

Fayemi said the renovation of the courts would not only help in the administration’s reformation of administration of justice but also help in quick dispensation of justice right from the grassroots.

While restating his commitment to the safety of lives and property of citizens, the Governor said anyone caught breaking the laws would not go scot-free as government is working to ensure that the judiciary remains the hope of the masses in seeking justice.

Responding to some of the requests raised by the leader of the Union,  Fayemi said government would expedite action on the Ilupeju/Ire road rehabilitation work, ensure the restoration of pipe borne water Oye Ekiti, while the proposed Housing Estate in the community would be seen to completion.

Earlier in his speech, the National President of Oye Progressive Union, Mr Lanre Adesuyi commended the governor for his massive investment in transforming both rural and urban centres of the state.

Mr Adesuyi appealed to the governor to assist in drawing a master plan for the town, see to the completion of the ongoing construction of an NDE Skill Acquisition centre sited in the town and upgrading of Oye general hospital to a specialist hospital.
