Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mr. Tayo Ekundayo has described the statement credited to Mr. Bamidele that almost half of Governor Fayemi’s Cabinet was behind him and financially supporting his inordinate ambition to become the state governor at all cost as another in the series of blatant lies being
peddled by a desperate politician who is struggling to stay afloat in the face of the defeat that awaits him in the June 21st polls.
In a press statement issued in Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Ekundayo added that the Opeyemi’s obvious attempt to cause disaffection among Ekiti people was a further demonstration of the fact that the Labour party candidate had the false belief that political scene was populated only by untrustworthy and backstabbing fellows like him that were willing to
sell their conscience for a pot of porridge.
Stressing that the JKF team was rock solid and cohesive, Ekudayo emphasized that Bamidele had once again failed in his bid to use his false claim to cause suspicion and mistrust among members of the State Executive Council.
“This tale by moonlight by Bamidele first made the rounds a few months ago which we simply dismissed with the wave of the hand because team JKF is as solid as rock. Does it follow any rationale thinking for Bamidele to announce publicly people supporting him secretly? Will these his supposed supporters not be wary of him for exposing them?
Bamidele will say anything now that it has become apparent that he is not going anywhere as his dream of occupying the state government house this year is already falling like pack of cards” , Ekundayo stated
Urging right thinking Ekiti people to continually disregard the false claims of the Labour Party candidate, the Information Commissioner said that the Fayemi led administration remained focused in its quest to continue delivering the dividends of democracy to them adding that Bamidele’s Mid-summer night dream is not worthy of the time and attention of the good people of the state.
“At the rate at which Bamidele is concorting lies, he will soon claim that all APC governors ,senators and our leaders including Otunba Adebayo and Asiwaju Tinubu are funding his inordinate ambition “, Ekundayo said.
The Commissioner stressed that the entire members of the state executive council are unequivocally and solidly behind the indefatigable governor of the state, Dr. Kayode Fayemi as the task at hand is a collective effort of the members of the state exco and the good people of the state.
