Ekiti Expends N688 Million On 2012 Leave Bonus

Ekiti State Government has expended a total sum of N687, 989, 658.65 on payment of year 2012 leave bonus for civil servants, teachers and other public officials in the state.

The State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Kolawole who made this known in Ado – Ekiti, said that the amount covered payment of 2012 leave bonus to all civil servants and teachers as well as all other public officials, stressing that there was no outstanding payment to any worker in the state public service.

Mr. Kolawole commended Governor Kayode Fayemi for his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state, noting that the prompt payment of December salary and Christmas bonus was another display of the good intention of the Fayemi led administration for the state’s workforce.

He therefore enjoined the workers to reciprocate government’s gesture by rededicating themselves to duties and living up to their
responsibilities.
