Ekiti Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, Mr. Dapo Kolawole has said that the essence of the Integrated Human Resources Payroll System recently introduced by the Ekiti State Government is to ensure that only genuine employees of the State Government and Pensioners are on
the government’s payroll.
Mr. Kolawole who made the assertion while answering questions from newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, noted that the introduction of the system would block fraudulent loopholes, eliminate ghost workers on government payroll and improve efficiency in the management of resources as well as ensure timely payment of salaries of workers and stipends of pensioners.
The Commissioner stressed that  the Integrated Human Resources Payroll system also known as e-payment would also eradicate double bank charges (COT), adding that government would issue monthly pay slips for all civil servants in the State Civil Service.

He assured that the present challenges being faced under the system, most especially those relating to  over deduction and non deduction of
money of members of Cooperative Societies in the Civil Service would soon be resolved
The Commissioner stressed that payment of the outstanding gratuities of workers who recently retired from the State’s Civil Service would commence before the end of the month while retirees from local government would receive their gratuities thereafter.
He explained that more funds will be available to the State Government to execute its laudable projects after the elimination of the ghost workers identified in the government’s payroll.
