Doctors Commend Fayemi Over Renovation Of Hospitals

Doctors working in government hospitals in Ekiti State have lauded the Ekiti State government over the ongoing renovation of all General Hospitals in the state,  saying that “the gesture will make healthcare delivery more accessible to the people”.

Acting under the aegis of the state branch of the National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP), the doctors commended the Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, for committing enormous resources towards the renovation of the hospitals describing the gesture as “very cheering and highly commendable.”

In a letter to the Governor signed by the Chairman, Dr. J.B. Ogunseye and Secretary, Dr. O.O. Ajogbeje, in Ado-Ekiti, the doctors’ body noted that the ongoing renovation is the first in the history of secondary healthcare infrastructure in the state.

The letter reads: “The above-named Association of doctors working at the Hospitals Management Board and Ministry of Health wishes to use this medium to appreciate Your Excellency for the excellent work you are doing in the massive renovation of eighteen General and Specialist Hospitals across the state.

 “This is the first of its kind in the history of secondary healthcare infrastructure in the state as the magnitude of work embarked upon is indeed very cheering and highly commendable.

 “This will bring utmost transformation of the healthcare delivery in the state thereby promoting the overall health and well-being of Ekiti people.

“We are not unaware of other laudable projects Your Excellency has been doing in education, roads, agriculture, micro-credit and other sectors in Ekiti State.

“Finally, we want to reiterate our commitment to your administration and express our deepest gratitude for all you are doing in transforming Ekiti State.”
