The Ekiti State Government hereby notifies commuters and the general public of the temporary closure of the following road sections to enable the execution of critical construction works under the Ekiti State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP):
i. Epe to Iropora section of the Ijero–Epe–Araromi–Iropora Road – to be closed for four (4) weeks.
ii. Ita Eku to Igirigiri section of the Enu Odi–Ita Eku–Igirigiri Road – to be closed for six (6) weeks.
The closures will take effect from Monday, 9th March, 2026.
Motorists and other road users are strongly advised to make use of alternative routes during the period. In particular, commuters affected by the Ita Eku–Igirigiri closure are advised to use the Lobinto Junction–Itamo–Omi Oloko Road as an alternative route. Appropriate diversion signages will be strategically placed to guide road users.
The Government urges members of the public to plan their journeys accordingly to minimise inconvenience.
We sincerely regret any discomfort this temporary disruption may cause and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of residents as the State continues its commitment to improving rural connectivity and infrastructure.
