The final phase of the ongoing recruitment exercise of 1,800 teaching and non-teaching staff into public secondary schools across Ekiti state will commence tomorrow, Wednesday, August 20, 2025
The Chairman of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Rhoda Ojo who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, disclosed that a total of 1,831 applicants who successfully scaled through the preliminary stages will participate in the final interview process.
According to her, the final stage will feature a micro-teaching assessment across 27 different subject areas, aimed at evaluating the candidates’ practical teaching skills, subject mastery, and communication abilities.
Mrs. Ojo assured that the entire recruitment process remains open, competitive, and fully transparent, with strict adherence to merit and best practices in educational recruitment, stressing that the objective is to achieve excellence in the quality of teaching and learning in Ekiti State, in line with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, to transform education in the State.
“This phase is a critical part of the Commission’s commitment to ensuring that only the most competent and passionate educators are engaged to teach in Ekiti public secondary schools” she stated.
Mrs. Ojo however noted that the current process consist of the first batch, adding that another batch would come up later to fill subsequential vacancies especially in Mathematics, English languages and other subjects where required numbers are not met in the present exercise.
