Informal Sector: EKSG presents Letter of Recognition to UTQN

…as government provides opportunity under microcredit scheme

The Government of Ekiti Sate has presented letter of recognition to Union of Tippers and Quarry Employers of Nigeria (UTQN).

Presenting the letter to the Union, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Biodun Omoleye who was represented by the Senior Special Assistant on Mobilisation, Prince Tunji Ogunlola, urged all members to adhere to road safety rules, and ensure good usage of newly constructed roads across the state.

Omoleye also advised the UTQN and other member-unions of the Informal Sector to tap into various empowerment scheme of the State Government, urging them to secure loans to boost business growth and development.

He also said the government has partnered with the World Bank to construct 1,000kilometres of rural roads across the state, as this will provide the union and other road users more access to business routes.
