Ekiti Deputy Condoles With Fashola

Ekiti Deputy Governor Prof Modupe Adelabu has described the late father of the Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Pa Ibrahim Ademola, as a legend whose death should be celebrated rather than mourned.

She said the deceased lived a fulfilled life and left indelible imprints for the society.

Prof Adelabu made the remark at the weekend when she paid a condolence visit to the Lagos helmsman at the Government House, Marina, Lagos Island.

Commending Fashola for making Lagos State a shining example and a model of what governance should be, the deputy governor enjoined him keep the tempo in the spirit of the legendary legacies of his late father.

“Pa Ibrahim Ademola Fashola had lived a fulfilled life and has immortalised himself in not only giving birth to but donating Governor Raji Fashola, who is one of the best governors in the country to sustain his good legacies,” she noted.

Prof Adelabu who noted that her principal, Governor Kayode Fayemi, had earlier visited his Lagos State counterpart, said her presence was to further demonstrate the love of Ekiti people towards Fashola. She prayed God Almighty to grant the governor and the entire family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding, Fashola thanked Prof Adelabu and the entire Ekiti people for identifying with members of his family in their period of grieve over the loss of their beloved father.

The governor who remarked that, though their father lived a fulfilled life and lived up to what is biblically known to be an old age, added that the entire family really missed him and that his memories will linger for live.

He expressed his happiness at the cordial relationship between Lagos and Ekiti States and the mutual relationships between, himself, Fayemi and Prof Adelabu.
