The 6th Edition of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s Free Health Mission will come up in Ekiti South and part of Ekiti Central Senatorial District from November 16 – 24, 2012. The programme is scheduled to hold in Ikere, Odo-Emure, Orun, Ilawe, Ilisa-Omuo, Agbado, Federal Housing Ado, Odo-Ado, Iworoko and Igede Ekiti.
The free health mission is aimed at providing free medical diagnostic and treatment services to the people at the grassroots. Identified cases that required further treatment will be referred to secondary health care centres for effective treatment and management. There will also be public health enlightenment aimed at reducing infant and maternity mortality rate in Ekiti State.
Also inclusive is a massive campaign against incidences of life style diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and HIV/AIDS toincrease health awareness and avoid health risk behaviour.
