June 6, 2021

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has expressed condolences on the death of Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua who died on Saturday.

The Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, said he received the news of Pastor Joshua’s death as a rude shock. He described it as a major blow to the Christian community in the country.

Dr Fayemi described the Arigidi Akoko-born Pastor as a man of God whose life and ministry impacted positively on the lives of the people, adding that the uniqueness of his ministry also earned him a large followership outside the shores of the country.

The Governor said the late Pastor Joshua did not only minister to the spiritual needs of the people but to their physical and financial needs as attested to by many who found succour in his church.

He stressed that the conferment of Ambassador of Peace award on the late pastor by the Arewa Youth Forum, a predominantly Muslim organization was a perfect testament to the fact that the late clergyman believed that true religion is about taking care of the poor and the less privileged.

Dr Fayemi urged members of Pastor Joshua’s immediate family as well as the Synagogue Church family to be consoled with the fact the late pastor lived an exemplary life and led a ministry that made great impact.

The Governor prayed God to give the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

” The Government and good people of Ekiti State share in the grief of Pastor Joshua’s death and pray that God will uphold the family and the ministry as well as grant the deceased eternal rest”, the Governor added.
