Public Sector Governance Reforms And Development Project To Begin In Ekiti

The Public Sector Governance Reforms and Development Project, a World Bank sponsored initiative with the objective of carrying out reforms in Financial Management, Procurement, Audit and Budget will soon begin in Ekiti State.

The Ekiti State Head of Service, Mr Olubunmi Famosaya made this known during a meeting with some World Bank Officials who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Ado-Ekiti. Reiterating the commitment of the State Government to the prompt take off of the project, Mr. Famosaya said that it would yield positive development.

He assured the delegation that all efforts would be concentrated in solving the challenges confronting the project officials.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Ikechukwu Nweje, who is also the Task Team Leader, praised the effort of government in ensuring the successful implementation of the project in the state. The delegation was in the state on a Project Implementation Support Mission to assess the state’s preparedness for the take-off of the Project.
