Foreign Partner Visits EKSG Farm Sites And Settlements

Top Officials of the Dutch Agro Allied Conglomerate, Agricultural Development and Trading Company (DADTCO) have paid a visit to some Government farm sites and settlements in Ekiti State.

The DADTCO team which was led by its Managing Director, Mr. Peter Bolt and accompanied by the Dutch Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Bert Ronhaar were on the farm sites and settlements to ascertain the level of readiness of Ekiti State Government towards the
establishment of DADTCO-EKITI CASSAVA PROJECT in the state.
Mr. Bolt said the project would be a joint venture between Ekiti State Government and DADTCO. He expressed happiness at the level of transformation that has taken place in some of the farm sites and settlements visited.
Mr. Bolt said the setting up of the Cassava factory would go a long way in boosting the existing relationship between Ekiti State and Netherland.

In his remarks, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr. Babajide Arowosafe said the establishment of DADTCO – EKITI CASSAVA PROJECT in Iyemero in Ikole Local Government of the state would go a long way in boosting the economy of the state.
Mr. Arowosafe added that the project is one of the avenues Governor Fayemi intends to boost the internally generated revenue of
the state and generate employment and ensure food security in the state.

The team which was received by members of the State Executive Committee on Agriculture transformation also visited the Ayede – Gede pilot farm, the Itapaji dam and Ikun Diary farm.
