Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi
Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, former Defence Minister, Lt General T.Y . Danjuma and Speaker House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, are among eminent Nigerians billed to be honoured with the Leadership award, in Abuja today.
Governor Fayemi will receive the Leadership Governor of the Year 2011 award in recognition of his unique approach to governance, particularly his massive investment in agriculture, infrastructure development, free education and free health programmes as well as the social security scheme which he pioneered.
The award ceremony holds at the Ladi kwali Hall, Sheraton Abuja by 10am. Other highlights of the event is a lecture to be delivered by a former Director, Lagos Business School, Prof Pat Utomi.
According to a programme released by the Leadership Newspapers, organisers of the award , General Danjuma will receive the Leadership Person of the Year award, while Hon. Tambuwal will bag the Leadership Politician of the year. Business Mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is Business Person of the Year.
Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar will chair the event with theme: “ Is The Opposition A serious Alternative in Nigeria?”
