EKSG To Extend Development Control Programme To All Parts Of Ekiti

The Development Control Programme of the Ekiti State Government will soon be extended to all parts of the State. The State Commissioner for Physical, Urban and Regional Planning, Mr. Ebunlomo Awoyemi made this known while briefing newsmen in his office in Ado Ekiti.
Awoyemi  charged owners of public and private properties in the State to maintain the established property line in the course of any physical development.
He added that the Ministry will soon embark on an “operation show your building plan”  aimed at  helping  government correct the non-compliance with the Urban Renewal Law of the state.
On Property owners who are in the habit of removing  the demolition marks on their properties, the Commissioner said that this would not stop government from demolishing such illegal structures.
Awoyemi who reiterated the plans of the government to develop the base map for Ado – Ekiti to enable it rank amongst the best  cities in the country, also advised members of the public to stop encroaching on government land  and other people’s properties.
