Ekiti To Sponsor 200-Man Contingent To 2012 Abuja Carnival

A 200-man contingent will represent Ekiti State at the 2012 edition of the Abuja Carnival scheduled to commence on Saturday November 24.
The State Commissioner for Culture, Arts and Tourism, Alhaji Ayodele Jinadu who made this known at a forum in Ado Ekiti, said the state intended to use the fiesta to promote its cultural heritage and attract investors.
According to him, the annual event is a veritable avenue for talent hunt with various activities including children fiesta, cultural dances and masquerade fiesta that would be displayed at the carnival.
The Commissioner added that the fiesta would also serve as an avenue for interaction amongst diverse groups from different cultural backgrounds, stressing that it would enable them share experiences and assist bonding of the people.
