Ekiti First Lady Canvasses Unity Among Women Stakeholders

The Wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, has called for unity among women stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for effective service delivery in the State.

The Governor’s Wife gave the charge during a meeting with the State APC women stakeholders in her office in Ado-Ekiti, on Tuesday.

Dr Oyebanji who enjoined the women to always show mutual understanding and respect for one another urged all aggrieved members to resolve their differences and work for the progress of the party and the success of the Biodun Oyebanji-led administration.

According to Dr Oyebanji, the immediate past First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has laid good precedence for everyone to emulate, stressing that she will consolidate her good work.

She assured that the interest of the women would be protected, with the assurance of working towards achieving over 35 percent of women’s inclusion in governance and policy-making positions.

Ekiti State APC Women Leader, Chief Caroline Egunlusi, appreciated the women for their support for the party before, during and after the governorship election, and solicited their cooperation with the new administration.

She called for regular meetings of the Stakeholders in order to enhance the unity among the women.

In their contributions, Chief Moji Fafure, Mrs Abiodun Adesina and Mrs Funke Owolabi who spoke on behalf of the three Senatorial Districts described the First Lady as an amiable leader who is reliable and ready to serve and protect the interest of Ekiti women.

They called the party women to give the First Lady the chance to effectively discharge her duty without interference. A former Chairperson of Ado Local Government, Chief Tosin Aluko called for unity among the stakeholder and enjoined them to always present themselves well and work for the oneness of the forum.
