Ekiti Chambers Of Commerce Charged To Support Government’s Efforts

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative, Otunba Reim Bodunrin has charged the Ekiti Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (EKCCIMA) to support government’s efforts at making the state an industrial corridor towards enhancing its development.

Speaking during a meeting with the Chambers, the Commissioner stressed that bridging the communication gap among members of the institution would turn it to a formidable entity needed to boost the pace of industrial development in the state.

Otunba Bodunrin assured that government would continue to provide a conducive atmosphere for them to thrive in the state. The Commissioner also assured them of regular interaction which he said would bring government closer to the chambers and help achieve the desired goals of the present administration.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mr. Debo Ajayi implored EKCCIMA not to wait for financial assistance from the government, stressing the need for the chamber to be proactive.

Mr. Ajayi said that the era of giving out loans without ensuring that it gets to the targeted public was over. He urged the entrepreneurs to be creative, focused and contribute to the economic development of the state.
According to him, Ekiti has potentials for greatness which include fertile land, homogeneity, education and good leadership.

The President of EKCCIMA, Mr. Femi Ebenezer expressed gratitude to the state government for its efforts at ensuring rapid development of the state. He pledged the continued cooperation of the chambers with the state government towards achieving the desired result.
