COVID-19: EKSG receives Prevention Kits from Donor

Ekiti State Ministry of Health has taken delivery of 108 cartons of disposable Surgical Face Masks and 72 cartons of antiseptic hand wipes that was donated by a private farm, Wemmy Industries Limited.

Speaking in Ado Ekiti while receiving the medical consumables and personal protective equipment against communicable diseases, the State Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Oyebanji Filani solicited the continued support of non-governmental organizations and individual philanthropists for efforts of Government to develop the State and improve the lot of the people.

Dr Filani expressed appreciation to the company for the kind gesture and assured them that the items would be used judiciously towards achieving the desired results.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr.

Akinjide Akinleye described the donation as a laudable gesture that is worthy of emulation by similar business concerns.

The Southwest Regional Manager of Wemmy Industries Limited, Mr. John Egbedofo explained that the donation was in fulfillment of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Mr. Egbedofo added that the focus was to contribute to efforts at curtailing the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus.

He said the gesture would be extended to the Oba Adejugbe General Hospital Ikole, Ikere State Specialist Hospitals, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital and Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti.
